Challenge: A major Chinese consumer appliance company was expanding to the U.S. but did not understand the challenges delivering product to the US big box retailers. They needed a distribution network & EDI connectivity with their retail clients.
Solution: The China based company came to De Well. De Well opened an East Coast warehouse to complement the warehouse already in place in California. This provided the company with an East Coast – West Coast distribution footprint. De Well then took their orders into De Well’s purchase order management system fed the orders into the US warehouse management system (WMS). The WMS was set up to feed the retailers with an EDI ASN message each time product left the warehouse destined for one of their retail DC’s.
